New Episode & Cover Art

Chica & the Man I hope everyone has had a great month. A new episode of Chica & the Man will be released at the end of the month. We discuss “Successes” and of course we go off into tangents and talk about various other situations in our lives. I’ve been working on redoing our cover art. Here are some samples and you can reach us on Facebook or Instagram with comments. Until March 31st. Have a great week.

Let’s Talk About Cars

Sonia Iris Lozada & Alex GreenwoodWelcome back to the first episode of 2022. In this episode, we tried to stick to one subject (cars), but what can we say? We bantered. We spoke about:

  1. Cars we’ve owned.
  2. Acting auditions and bookings.
  3. How phrasing certain words can have a different meaning—torta sandwiches.
  4. Family
  5. Alex’s ex-wife: Mrs. Claus.
  6. George Clooney.

As always, we laugh and tease each other. Enjoy the episode and tune in next month when we talk about whatever comes to us (we never know until we record).

Have a great month!

Chica and the Man has Launched!

Chica and the ManWelcome to the Chica and the Man Podcast. Alex and I are very excited to co-host this podcast.

LOS ANGELES — It’s one thing for friends to decide to do a podcast together, but quite another for two people to meet and become friends through podcasting.

Poet and actress Sonia Iris Lozada met author and podcaster Alex Greenwood as a guest on his show, Mysterious Goings On. The pair recognized their chemistry immediately, and soon, Greenwood guested on Lozada’s show, Poetic Resurrection. However, they have never met in person.

“We just clicked. Alex and I became fast friends,” Lozada said. “I liked talking with him about creativity and life in general and thought we could have fun doing a regular show where we pick a topic and chat. So I asked Alex, and he was up for it.”

The pair quickly settled on a cheeky name for their podcast, Chica and the Man, a riff on the 1970s hit TV show about a Latino man and his white friend. In this case, a reference to Lozada’s heritage.

“And I’m ‘the man’ purely by virtue of my sex,” Greenwood said. “Sonia and I want the name of the show to suit our attitude, to be playful. We’re pretty sure listeners of a certain age will get the pun.”
